Embraced by centuries old
awe-inspiring terraces, the visitor
is afforded the modern day comforts
of the Banaue Hotel and Youth
Hostel, 4,000 feet above sea level.
It is ideal for nature lovers and
adventurous tourists. Its natural
pinewood material creates a log
cabin ambience allowing the traveler
an intimacy with nature.
Its hotel has 90 operational
fully-carpeted rooms and are well-
furnished with private balconies
overlooking scenic views of the Rice
Terraces. However, only 81 rooms are
available for sale. Operational
since 1974, the original hotel has
expanded twice and to date the
structure has two wings. The old
wing is a two-storey building while
the new wing is 5-storey.
Average size of hotel room is 250
sq. feet in the old wing and 345-370
sq. feet in the new wing. These
rooms are screened and equipped with
house phone, private toilet/bath and
hot/cold water.
On the other hand, the 2-storey
hostel has 44 beds divided equally
between female and male wing. It has
screened rooms with double deck
beds. Lockers and common toilet/bath
are provided for both male and
female. It is one of the original
structures and is located near the
entrance gate.
