Isla
Bonita Resort
sits on a five-and-half hectare island,
enriched by a golden sandy beach lined with coconut trees, is a
little paradise for divers and lovers of peace and quite.
Accommodation
Once an exclusive dive
resort that offers a range
of diving packages, Isla
Bonito is now reintroducing
itself both as an activity
filled getaway for the whole
family and a convenient out
of-town resort for corporate
outings.
Presently the resort has 11
comfortable rooms. and plans are in
the offing to add 9 more. In the
past, Isla Bonito Island Resort was
well known to hardcore divers for
its great diving facilities coupled
with the surrounding waters that are
rich with marine life. While Bonito
Island Resort isn’t about to shed
off its “dive resort” image it
still offers diving courses for
locals and foreigners it’s bow
attracting other water-sport
enthusiast like kayakers, jet skiers
and wind surfers. In fact, anyone
who loves the sun, sand and sea, or
even those who want to lie
languidlyon the beach on a secluded
heart - shaped island are very
welcome at bonito.
On a clear day atop the island’s
highest peek, which is the resort’s
view deck, you can get a view of
nearby Maricaban and Puerto Galera
in Mindoro while evenings at this
summit see guests gathering together
to light bonfires or simply curl up
to stargaze at the sky. With the sea
at your feet, Bonito Island brings
you beauty for the eye, soul, body
and heart.
Scuba Diving
Nonie's Point
- A shallow
dive with max. depth 50 Ft., is
actually at it's best even only at
40 Ft. Here you will find the
underwater bridge nearby the nursing
station of sharks. Crevices,
undercuts, cracks, canyons and big
boulders are very common in this
site. Due to heavy currents in the
area, hard corals are more abundant
than a soft corals. Angel fish,
butterfly fish, wrasse, sweet lips,
surgeon fish, jacks, tuna, snappers
and rainbow runners are very common
in this area. Probably one of the
best areas drift dives.
