Coral Beach Club Batangas

Coral Beach Club is the resort closest to Manila with a white sand beach, albeit artificial, the Matabungkay Beach. It is frequented primarily by golfers.

The resort is in the middle of a green lawn with palm trees. It has a pleasant Mediterranean look with immaculate white walls contrasting with the capiz windows and nipa roof.

Location: Matabungkay Beach, Lian, Batangas. Located right on the beach, overlooking the beautiful white sand and some of the most dramatic sunsets in the world.

 Accommodation
 

Offers air-conditioned rooms w/ en suite bathrooms. Its fully-equipped PADI Dive facility has courses available from beginners to experts. Under foreign management. Popular among expats. There are two room categorizes deluxe and standard. The deluxe rooms are in two story buildings with a view of the garden. The room upstairs are linked by a long exterior corridor but do not have a private terraces. The white interiors of the rooms contrast with the well-polished ochre red floors, the plaited rattan furniture and the basketry. The standard room make up the three family rooms at the entrance of the resort near the restaurant, and two individual bungalows along the swimming pools. There bungalows are more suited to couples and are decorated with a Japanese theme.

The restaurant is a well-ventilated bamboo structure with a nipa roof that practically extends all the way to the beach. There are deck chairs in the garden where you can relax facing the beach. There is also a swimming and Jacuzzi.

Matabungkay Beach becomes quite lively on Sundays when people come to rent the roofed floating rafts, tables and chairs for picnics. On these days, it is better to go to White Sands Beach for a more peaceful and quiet atmosphere. This beach is on the other side of Nasugbu, in the direction of Cavite, and is accessible in half-an-hour.

Transportation

By land (2.5 hours), 110 km away from Manila. Take South Superhighway and get off at Santa Rosa, exit no. 40. After the market of Tagaytay, turn right when you reached Tagaytay Ridge. At the Tagaytay Rotonda, go straight and follow the direction of Nasugbu and Lian. At the Shell gas station, turn left to Lian and Calatagan. Continue through Calatagan until you see the sign for Matabungkay Beach Resort and Hotel. Turn right. Proceed 1.5 km and turn right on the cement road. Coral Beach Club is on your left side after you have gone 500 meters from the last turn you made.
